Renée Fleming: “Music and Mind,” A Panel Discussion

In addition to her performance activity, Renée Fleming tirelessly advocates for research at the intersection of arts, health, and neuroscience. Her new anthology, Music and Mind: Harnessing the Arts for Health and Wellness, is a collection of essays from leading scientists, artists, creative arts therapists, educators, and physicians about the powerful impacts of music and the arts on health and the human experience. Fleming will moderate a conversation with a distinguished panel of University of Iowa clinicians, researchers, and scholars including Prof. Abbey Dvorak & Sun Joo Lee (Music Therapy), Dr. Bruce Gantz (Otolaryngology), and Dr. Matthew Howard (Neurosurgery).
The event is presented by the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Iowa Neuroscience Institute, and Hancher Auditorium.
