Lunch with Niyaz: Feminism in the East

Inspired by Ali Shariati’s perspective on Feminism, Azam Ali and Loga Ramin Torkian will explore women’s rights and gender identity in the Global South. They will also discuss the subject of their latest work, Rabia al‐Basri, and the importance of sharing al‐Basri’s story in a modern world that continues to adhere to patriarchal societies and laws.

This is part of a weeklong brownbag lunch conversation series with Niyaz.
